Life on the road can be, well, busy. Not only are you always keeping an eye on your speed limit, your gas consumption and what awesome music is coming out of your radio – you’re also thinking of a million other road related things.
Such as, why do people live here?
What the heck was that person thinking when they planted that?
And my personal favorite…
Do people miss me back at home.
All of that being said, I realized that I have been absolutely terrible when it comes down to keeping up with all the people that I’ve met along the way and have grown to love and care about. I feel like I’ve abandoned my California people and haven’t had time to sit down and write a personal email to each and every one of them. I feel like those in Texas who I grew very close to have kind of been neglected too.
It gives me a pang of guilt to feel like I’ve loved and left them. I assure you, this is not the kind of person I am. I miss each and every person I’ve met along the way (except, ahem…well, ask me in person). Please, be patient with me as I finish up this trip and I assure you all, I will be back in contact with each and every one of you.
Also, don’t worry, just because the trip is over, it doesn’t mean that the website is going to magically shut down and you’ll be deprived of some exciting new Nikki Adventures. I take the approach that life is an experience to be shared. That’s just the kind of person I am.
Otherwise, be good to each other. Be good to yourself. Love life, you only get one.
